Don Bosco English & Computer Academy Kilinochchi

We, the members of the community of the Salesians of Don Bosco, residing and working at this Institution at Karadipokku, Kilinochchi, are a group of Spirit – filled, optimistic and consecrated religious men, and lay persons, rooted in the Word of God (Bible) and guided by Mary, at the service of the Church.

We, along with the members of the Salesian Family and lay collaborators are formed and committed to the spirit and mission of Don Bosco. We, in a spirit of dialogue with Christian and non Christian brethren, in a relationship of trust, shared co-responsibility and accountability, educate, evangelize, empower, develop and uphold the dignity of the young, especially the poor. We work to establish, like Christ – the Good Shepherd, God’s kingdom on this part of the Island

Scope:

1. To educate the youth of the place in English & Computer skills, especially those who are affected by poverty and war.
2. To provide adequate ambience for holistic development to the youth.
3. To impart Christian values and attitudes in the youth.
4. To assist the local Catholic Church in kilinochchi, for offering religious services and masses and to work collaboratively with the priests of the local diocese of Jafna.
