DBDOS

 

Don Bosco Development Office  Sri Lanka (DBDOS) is a department established by the Salesians of Don Bosco in Sri Lanka as the social arm of the congregation. The main aim to establish the DBDOS is to implement sustainable development and human promotion projects, which are the fundamental principle of the Salesian Charism.  DBDOS serves as a network that coordinates, build capacities and serve as a link with both international and the local benefactors.

 

DBDOS is based on Christian Principles and serve to hundreds and thousands of marginalized children and youth in Sri Lanka irrespective of their religion, cast, creed or colour.  The legal holder of the DBDOS is the Provincial Superior of the Vice Province of Sri Lanka.

 

At DBDOS we help to research and facilitate the implementation of new projects within the Vice Province of Sri Lanka, under the direction of the Project Director and CEO. The highly efficient lay staff at DBDOS is involved with research, planning, fundraising, coordination and networking maintaining the highest ethical standards. DBDOS is also involved with monitoring and evaluation of projects and activities of the Vice Province.

 

Our Vision

 

The vision of DBDOS is to help the Vice Province to become effective and sustainable in its projects and pastoral efforts with satisfactory service delivery towards the socio-economic development of the Don Bosco Sri Lanka Vice Province.

 

Our Mission

 

The mission of DBDOS is oriented towards religious / social and human development of the youth maintaining its core values such as transparency, Honesty, Collective responsibility, Accountability, Sustainability, Networking, Efficiency and being Result and Impact oriented.
